ABRAHAM WOMMACK WILL

 

Monroe Co., GA WB A (1824-47), p. 69

 

Georgia, Monroe County. In the name of God Amen. I Abraham Wommack being of sound mind and disposing memory, make this my last will and testament and dispose of my earthly possessions as follows.

1st My will is that all my just debts be paid out of my effects.

2nd I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Lucy M. Womack three Negroes (to wit) Charles, a man, ______, a woman, and her child Abington together with all of her increase, all my household and kitchen furniture of every description, all my plantation and carpenters tools, all corn and fodder and bacon and provisions of all kinds together with the crop if any there be, all my ready money and my watch all my stock of horses my ox cart and work steers and one half of my stock of cattle and work steers and one half of my stock of cattle and two thirds of my stock of hogs my beehives with al my fowles, all the above to be at her disposal. I give unto my wife the south half of my lot of land adjoining _________ Lang during her lifetime of widowhood.

3rd I give and bequeath to my son Charles Womack two negroes Issac a man and York a man, the north half of my lot of land, and the South half at my wifes death or marriage one half of my stock of cattle and one third of my stock of hogs.

4th I give and bequeath to my grandson William Kirk three negroes Fanny a woman, Milly a girl, and Jane a girl and said Fanny’s increase, and said William Kirk to pay to the orphans of Levi Kirk two hundred dollars on his receiving said negroes.

5th I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Sarah Cabaniss two negroes, old Milly a woman and Daniel a man.

6th I give and bequeath to Wilkins Hunt one negro girl named Mary and on his receiving said girl to pay to my grand daughter Sarah Cabaniss fifty dollars.

7th I give and bequeath to Alexander Hunt one negro boy named George and on his receiving the said negro boy to pay to my granddaughter Sarah Cabaniss fifty dollars.

8th And lastly I constitute Charles Womack Hinchy Lang and Wilkins Hunt my executors to see this last will and testament is faithfully carriend into
