In the matter of Jury Commissioners

On this day in obedience to the order of the court, W. C. Parks, John J. Roberson and S. S. Kirk appeared at the ___ or this court after being duly summoned to act as Jury Commissioners to select the Grand and Petit Jurors for the next term of this Court and the Court administered to them the oath prescribed by law and instructed them in their duties. The said Jury Commissioners retired from the ___ of this Court to the Grand Jury room the place designated by the Court to consider of their duties afterwards the said Jury Commissioners returned into open Court two sealed envelopes, one endorsed List of Grand Jurors for the July Term 1910 of the Sevier County Circuit Court and signed by the said Jury Commissioners and the other endorsed list of Petit Jurors for the July Term 1910 of the Sevier Circuit Court and signed by the said Jury Commissioners. Whereupon the Court discharged said Jury Commissioners and delivered in open Court the said two sealed envelopes to J. E. Harris Clerk of this Court and administered to him and his Deputy E. B. Lindsey the oath prescribed by law and it is ordered that the Clerk of this court make out and certify to the County Court of Sevier County a claim for two days for each of the said Jury Commissioners for their attendance as such in the matter of Petit Jury.

On this day the court ordered the Sheriff to summons one man to complete the Regular Panel of Petit Jury possessing the requisite qualifications of a Petit Juror and the Sheriff returned into open Court the name of T.A. Bartee who was duly sworn and empaneled as by law required to serve as such the remainder of the Term unless for good cause shown the Court.
