Scott Kirk,
I just saw your posting on Solomon Sessions on
RootsWeb.com under the WorldConnectProject.
I am interested in Elizabeth Mary Sessions b.
1810.
We have a Mary Elizabeth Sessions who married
Thomas Blackwell, Jr. as his second wife. We know her birth date was
1810 and they were married in SC probably around 1829. Their first son
was Solomon S. Blackwell b. 1830. They had a total of 10 children
between 1830 and 1850-ish: Solomon, Anna, Richard Alonzo, Joseph, Mary
Emma, Auren, Sarah L., Hannah C., James Robert and Ella V. They moved
from SC to TN around 1837 eventually settling in Lauderdale Co., TN where they
are buried.
Thomas Jr. is my husband's gg-grandfather and he
descends from his first wife, Eliza Jane Gause.
I am in contact with Blackwell researchers who
descend from his second marriage.. specifically Ellen Barfield who lives in
Lauderdale Co.
I cannot find Solomon S. Blackwell anywhere after
the 1850 census in Lauderdale Co., TN.
Do any of these names ring a bell?
I am interested to hear more about this line.
