Hello,

I see my great grandmother's parents on your page.
George W Doggett and California Hickman
Their daughter Maud was her mother.

Hi Cary,..

Thanks for the info.  I would be glad to share more, but my files are
in boxes.  My wife and I are moving this Saturday.  Please keep in touch
though.

Sincerely,

Please, do.  What state are you all in?  Do you know of any Doggiett's in
San Bernadino California in the 1940's?

No, I don't know of any Doggett's beyond Arkansas.  My wife and I currently live in San Antonio, Texas but my Kirk family is related to the Doggett's of Arkansas (specifically the Lockesburg and Dequeen area).  I actually have photographs of George W. Doggett's grave at the Old Union Cemetery in Lockesburg, Arkansas. If you would like, I could e-mail it to you.

Do you do genealogy research? If so, I would like to add your e-mail to my address book as a potential point of contact in Doggett issues.
Just recently I took some digital photographs of other Doggett Graves in Horatio, Arkansas as well.

Thanks again for contacting me.

Sincerely,

Scott A. Kirk

That would be great, I recently got pictures of Maude, her husband and children.  I think there were some other Doggett's in their, I know 1 or with California Doggett.  I will scan and send them if you'd like.  You can send any picture you want, I love them!

Cary,

That would be wonderful. I would appreciate being able to put a face to these headstones. Please send me the scanned photo's and I will send you anything you would like from my files. My photographs are usually about 400kb so it takes about 5-6 minutes to upload / download each file (I usually don't ZIP them unless you tell me that you have the ability to UNZIP them).

Thanks.

Scott

Here are some pics, just to give you a quick run down:

Maud married Lawrence Gibson.  One of their children Eve Gibson was my great-grandmother.  I haven't had a chance to scan the Doggett's pics yet, so these will be mostly Eve and her husband.  I'll try to get to scanning the Doggett's today but, just got a great lead on Lawrence's parents and trying desperately to pan that out.  The Doggett's and Gibson's were quite hip, as you'll see when I get to scanning their pictures.  I am very impressed, as I wasn't sure what I was going to find!

Zip files are fine.  I have a very fast connection so whatever is best for you is all right with me.

I have titled the pictures in order of who is in the photo.  You'll see the name Lee in their as Eve Gibson married Ray Lee, my grandmother's parents.
